Christmas tags

I don't usually make tags but I needed these for my bosses this year and decided to go with an eclectic theme. I used a glittered card stock and just cut the corners round.  The deer and dove are Cheery Lynn dies and the tree is a Sue Wilson die.  I added little red beads to the trees.  I think the holly leaves are from Sue Wilson also.

Christmas Angel for a birthday

My sister always asks for an angel card for her birthday since it's right before Christmas. I used the Sue Wilson angel die and cut it out of sparkly paper and added some pearls.  The card is 5.5 square and I used the new Cheery Lynn stitched square dies for the card and frame.  I used some peel offs for the borders and saying.  The flower and leaves are from Michaels and I used s pearl stick pin to finish the card.

On the first day of Christmas

This pretty partridge in a pear tree is a digital image from Power Poppy.  I cut it out with some spellbinders dies and edged them with a gold pen.  I colored the image with copic markers and mounted them on the snowflake embossed background.  I added some gold peel off corners and ribbon and bow and topped it with a flower to match.  I'm adding this to the challenge for embellish it.

Peace on Earth

I made this pretty card with Sue Wilson's dies and gilding wax.  The trees were embossed and then cut out on black card stock and then I added the gilding wax for color. The Peace on Earth was cut out of sticky paper and glittered.  These are all Sue Wilson's dies and I used her blog for inspiration.   I get my dies from Joan's Garden and she is very dependable and quick and only charges the exact shipping.

Another "Embelllish it"

The challenge on Power Poppy is to Embellish your cards. I used the stocking from the Poinsettia set to make this card.  I colored it in copics and edged everything with a Krylon silver pen.  The die cuts are from Becca's spellbinders and Cheery Lynn designs.  I used an Anna Griffin cuttlebug for texture in the background.

More Christmas

I'm still making Christmas cards and decided to keep this one mostly white with just an accent of color.  The poinsettia is from Cheery Lynn designs, the rest of the dies are from Sue Wilson's creative expressions.  I lined everything in silver with a Krylon pen. The saying is a peel off sticker.

Power Poppy Embelllish it!!!

The challenge over at Power Poppy is to Embellish it!!! I used the Heaven and Nature Sing stamp set and colored it with copics after cutting it out with a Cheery Lynn oval. The oval, holly branch, and poinsettia are all from Cheery Lynn Designs and the other dies are from Creative Expressions Sue Wilson's designs.  I used a Krylon gold pen to outline all of the dies and the edge of the background which is a Anna Griffin Ogee Damanask embossing folder.  I get all my Sue Wilson's dies from Joan's Garden.

Out of my comfort Christmas

Every day I check Sue Wilson's blog for the new Creative Expressions dies and ideas. I love her cards even though they are huge, UK size cards and I try and use some of her ideas for the US size cards that I make.  I started this card with a 5x7 soft champagne gold card (it's not really white) added a layer of black and then I added a layer of gold linen foil that I got from Michaels or one of the big box stores. I pierced it with my new rectangle piercing die from Cheery Lynn.  I then added the Polynesian Sails oval doily in the soft gold and added some pearls.  The trees are from Sue Wilson's winter trees at Joan's Garden website.  You can click on Creative Expression, Sue Wilson and find tons of wonderful dies and card ideas with them.  After watching the video on Sue's blog I cut and embossed the trees and the Merry Christmas in black and then added some soft gold gilding wax to them and to the Merry Christmas.  This is definitely not a normal color combo for me but it's so striking in real life and I think I may do some more of this color combo.  Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the dies and ideas on Sue's blog.

More Christmas cards

I'm working on Christmas cards and these two cards are a mix of different dies from a few companies.  I used a holographic gold peel off around the edge of the card. I know the white die behind the candles is the center of another die but of course now I can't find the die to tell you which one, LOL The candles are memory box glowing candles. The saying and backing are both from Sue Wilson's creative expressions.
The second card is is a Marianne die on the bottom and Sue Wilson lavender border and I used a large scalloped square to cut it out to show the white embossed snowflake background, the Peace on Earth is Sue Wilson.  I just punched a couple of snowflakes from a Martha Stewart punch and added lots of pears to finish the card.

Starting Christmas cards

I'm not a fan of fall cards and usually don't send any of those so I'm trying to get an early start on Christmas. I used the Sue Wilson, Creative expressions snowflake border and tag set to make this card after her watching her video.  I covered the background with a sticky sheet and used some very fine glitter after embossing it with a snowflake folder which doesn't show up on the photo.  The ribbon is a holographic sparkle ribbon and the saying is a peel off sticker. You can purchase a lot of the Sue Wilson dies from Joan's Garden

Power Poppy, Bits and Pieces

The challenge at Power Poppy is to use part of an image on your creation.  I used this image from the So Grateful collection and colored it with copic markers.  I used a Spellbinders labels 28 to cut the portion out and back it.  The corners and tag are from the Sue Wilson collection by Creative expressions.  I added some DP behind the image and a sticky lace accent across it,  To finish the card I just added a pearl to each corner.  Be sure to check out all the fun challenges over at Power Poppy and add to your collection of stamps and digital images.

Shabby and Chic Stamp set and Digital

The challenge at Power Poppy is Shabby and Chic.  I used some pastel paper from Melissa Frances 5th Ave paper pad and edged to match the flowers. The image is Camellias stamp set from Power Poppy and I colored it with copics in the Y and V, and YG colors.  It's all done in very soft pinks and yellows to match the paper.  I added the corner ribbon and pearls and a Martha Stewart little butterfly punch to finish the card. Come and join in the fun over at Power Poppy and you may win something!! I have a second card next that I used the digital version of this set to make.

This is the digital version of the Camellias and I fancy cut it out after coloring it with Copics. The background is from Sue Wilson's Creative expressions embossing folder and I added some lace and a big bow with some pearls.

Hang some Paper

Hang some paper is the challenge at Power Poppy.    My three papers are from the pretty Prima Fairy Flora collection.  I used the gorgeous Poppy stamp set on cryogen white paper and colored them with copics.  I added a strip of card stock in pink and then layered the Spellbinders oval on top.  I hand cut the image out and popped it on the oval.  All the paper is edged in silver pen and I added the bow and flower and pearls to finish the card.

Thinking of you

I made this card for the challenge at Power Poppy and for my friend who has been in the hospital for months. I used Dancing with Daffodils digital image from Power Poppy and printed it on text cryogen white paper. I colored them copic markers and fancy cut them out. I used the center flower from another of the images and layered it over the bouquet.  The die cuts are from Sue Wilson's collection of New York Herald Square and got those from  Joan's Garden.   I used my Sutter bow maker and added some pearls to the center and the tag is a spellbinders.  The background is also from Sue Wilson and it's the beaded fanfare which Joan's Garden can order for you as well.

Cheery Lynn and Power Poppy orchids

A shaped card is the challenge at Cheery Lynn this week and I used the Coved rectangle scalloped dies for this card and edged them all in gold.   The beautiful orchid image is from Power Poppy and colored with copics and then I added some stickles to the leaves to enhance them.  I used colors in the Sky is the limit challenge for this at Power Poppy.  I added a bow that was made from the Zutter bow maker.  This was my first time using the bow maker and I think I need some more practice, LOL  I colored the ribbon using the same marker that I colored the image with.

Power Poppy Special Friend

This pretty image is from the newest digital images by Power Poppy.   I made this card for the Peep of the week challenge also on Power Poppy.  The rose image is from the  La Vie Rose collection and I just added a peel off saying but there are several digital sayings you can use as well.   The dies are from Cheery Lynn and they are part of the French Flair collection.  I just added some bling to finish the card.   Power Poppy is having their sneak peeks this week for the new stamps coming out on Feb 1, be sure to join in the fun!!!!

Sue Wilson's dies

These dies are from the Sue Wilson collection by Creative Expressions and you can get them from Joan's Garden.   Terri can order anything you want and get it fairly quick.  I used a sticky sheet under the border on this and then covered it with the glitter flakes.  I will tell you to be careful when you tape your die in place, that's why I have lace at the top and bottom of this card, the tape left a residue and then all the flakes stuck to it and made a mess, so I just covered them up with the lace and beads.

Marianne Step Card

I made this pretty step card using Marianne dies and glittery paper. I know the sparkle doesn't show in the scan but the white paper has a beautiful holographic sparkle to it.

This pretty Power Poppy stamp set of Azalea was used on the labels 16 and colored with copics.  I'm entering this in the Power Poppy Challenge.  The card is 6x6 and I used a pearlized paper from the 8x8 Luxury stack  from DCWV.  I added some more layers and trimmed the layers in a gold pen.  The corner is Cheery Lynn's Victorian Flourish.   I added a pre-made flower and a bow to finish the card.
I love these gorgeous Cheery Lynn Lattice border and heart dies. I added some flowers and leaves and a peel off border to finish the card.

With Love

I made this card for The Shabby Tea Room challenge this month.  The heart is a Marianne die and the corners are spellbinders.  I added lots of bling with little heart peel off borders and frosted pearls.  The saying is a gold peel off and the white backing on the heart is a glitter paper which doesn't show in the picture.

Thinking of you

I used my new Sue Wilson die Granada from the Spanish Collection to make this card. The background is a spellbinders embossing folder  and I added some embellishments from Michaels to finish the card.
