Mother's Day

I made this card for the Mother's Day challenge on Cheery Lynn and the pastel challenge on Stampin Sisters in Christ.  The background is a Cheery Lynn poinsettia plate and I used the Faux Patina technique from the resources on Split Coast stampers.  The die cuts are all Cheery Lynn, the beautiful circle is Doily stacker circle 1,2, 3
I used a straight circle inside of it to stamp the saying from Our Daily Bread Designs Mother's set.  The pretty fanciful flourish was put down first, with olive branches and the leaf from Judy's bloom.   These beautiful flowers were made with miniature roses, medium roses and large rose dies.  The butterfly is from small exotic butterfly set and I added some silver pen around the edges and pearls to finish everything.

Our Daily Bread Go green, faux patina

Our fun challenge this week on Our Daily Bread is to go green, either in color or recycle something.  I used their darling cat sympathy set for this card and colored it with copics.  The beaded oval was embossed and then cut and I used walnut distressed ink with a gold pen to edge it.  The background on this card is the faux patina technique from the resources on Split Coast Stampers.  My gold embossing is not showing up very well but it's there and gives the old patina look to the card.  Spellbinders fancy tag for the saying and I gold edged it also. Added a few Martha Stewart butterflies to finish the card.  Be sure to check out the wonderful creations on ODBD for some inspiration.

Flourishes Friendship Tri Shutter card

I decided to make another friendship card for the Back to Beautiful challenge on Flourishes.  I chose this Tri Shutter card because this Graphic 45 Bride collection paper worked so well with it.  All of the images are from Flourishes and I just went through all my Flourish stamps looking for sayings that worked with friendship and the size to fit in the openings.  The main image is from the Spring Bouquet and I cropped it with labels 4.  I added a couple of Cheery Lynn small butterflies and some bling to finish this card.

Another vintage look for Flourishes Magnolias

I made another vintage card with Flourishes Magnolia set. This is for the Crafty Friends new challenge blog and vintage is our theme this time.   I cut out the card from Japanese linen paper and then used a soft pink base and ran it through my cuttlebug folder inked the edges with victorian velvet distressed ink. The center die is the Swedish Spring oval frame.
I edged this with the victorian velvet distressed ink also and stamped the Magnolia on it and colored the image with copics. I stamped a couple of images and cut out two of the flowers to pop up for dimension, the little magnolia was also stamped twice and popped up.  The spellbinders die was used for the saying and edged with the distress ink also.  Lace across the bottom and the corners were a  1.25" square and cut on the diagonal for the corers.  Added some pearls to finish the card.

Stampin Sisters in Christ, make it move!!

I made this shaker card for the challenge on Stampin Sisters in Christ.
I used the pretty Mother's words of wisdom stamps for this shaker card. I cut the Cheery Lynn dies and popped them up for the shaker card and edged it with pearls.  The border is an EK  punch.  Added some ribbon and a prima flower to finish the card.

New!! Crafty Friends Challenge blog

There is a new challenge blog hosted by Beate from Split Coast Stampers and she is a DT for Flourishes.  Our challenge this time is vintage, I love vintage cards so this was fun!!!  I made the base card from Cheery Lynn's French flair and then added a piece of Melissa Frances DP over it to cover the fold at the top.  The pink panel is the scalloped French Flair and I just turned it with a cream panel for the image.  The stamp set is Botanical bookplates from Flourishes, colored with copics. I used the Fanciful flourish from Cheery Lynn, a fern punch, not sure who makes it and some prima flowers and lace. Cheery Lynn, make a basket

The challenge on Cheery Lynn's new challenge blog is to make a basket.  This is actually my second basket and I will add the first one below, no matter what we did the photo blurred the flowers on that one.  I just made a square basket and added the beautiful Victorian romance corner flourish, I cut two of them, for the handle.    On the front of the basket I used the fanciful flourish, Cuties 1 for the flower and the base of the flower is from Judy's blooms and leafOlive branches fill in on the right side.  I don't have the CL eggs so I used their scalloped ovals and cut them out of the pretty paper.  Here is the first basket, some of the same dies used in this one also.
